hi all, just after some advice and thought i would give the discussion board a try. After a couple of dodgy family holidays (one from a well known newspaper that rhymes with bun) we decided to look at a caravan and was advsed to look at a cheap van to see if it was our thing or not. I then looked for one and have just bought a ELDDIS JET STREAM GT 1998 4 BERTH for £3000 with lots and lots of extras. It is in good condition with no damp etc but i am not sure i have got a good buy or not. It just seems strange spending that money on a van that is in essence 14 years old. Another concern is that i don't know how to use anything in it or what to look out for when booking sites etc. Bit worried that i will look stupid when arriving at a site but on the other hand i am looking forard to our first vanning holiday with my wife, my six year old son, my 10 month old daughter and our dog........
