I'm new on the forum, but have been a motorhome user and club member for around 20 years. We admittedly are using club sites less now than ever before, I am finding commercial sites to have better facilities and more realistic prices; but after much reflection we have renewed our membership for another year.

Hi Joanne

Welcome to the forum. Worth pointing out that the Club only have about 200 sites which is a drop in the ocean compared to what is out there, so there is plenty of choice. Like any portfolio of sites some will be better than others and I think the best of what the Club has to offer is on a par with the better commercial sites both in facilities and price from my own experience. A particular bone of contention for me are the T&C's of commercial sites which nearly always require full payment weeks ahead of arrival unlike the very much more generous T&C's of the CMC. I speak from bitter experience of having to cancel stays at sites because of medical issues and losing the cost of the entire stay!
