Hello, I'm thinking about buying my first caravan, being new to it all, I wonder if anyone could give me some advice, I've never towed before and I'm wondering if getting a small van would be better to start off with, but I do want a four birth, does it matter about size when towing, many thanks Rob

Hi Rob

Don't stress about towing, take your time and with a little common sense it will all fall into place,

It's a doddle mate.

Hi Rob.  Many things have already been said, so just a simple welcome from me.  Our first van was a 4 birth: We made a double out of the front seats and the other 2 births were bunks (We had to put the top bunk into place to use it.

Best of luck in choosing your new van.  There are plenty to choose from. smile

Exactly what G Cherokee says..

We were all newbies once upon a time. I like you had never towed before, we just picked the van we liked (a 5 berth c/w fixed bunks) hitched up and went for it! (checking all legalities re the weights etc etc) Second outing was a 1000km trek to the south of France.. ! Go for it!
