Complete beginners

I thought we had better introduce ourselves as on Tuesday we collect our first ever caravan.  We are, that is wife and I are getting excited and our dining room is already full of bits and pieces that we intend to put in the van.  Have been doing a lot of reading and hopefully not only being a CC member(not shown as such yet below avatar) but a member of CT forum will help  with the many questions we will no doubt think of. Found a lot of useful info on here already including a link to my van handbook so I can read up a bit on it before we collect It. Truma, Stove, Thetford, Alko, Motor Mover, where do I  start..... Awning full or porch, caravan cover?  Lots to think about. We are  giving the van it's first outing to Dorset on Wednesday for 4 days perhaps then we will have some answers.
