hi all,

we are new members, we have been campers for a few years mainly attending music festivals and enjoying long weekends. This year we attended NEC camping and caravan show, purchased a touring caravan feeling the time was just perfect and encouraged on by one dodgy hip and shoulder injury. We will also be celebrating our 60th and 50th birthdays this year so this is our big gift to each other. We collect the caravan on the weekend of Lindsey’s 60th, this feels a perfect start to our Caravaning adventures.

I have towed before a few years ago but must admit feel a little apprehensive about starting again.

The 1st trip is planned, pick up the van, stay on dealers site and sort what we need, also we will have staff around to hand over van. Then off to another couple of sites to get used to towing and setting up.

We looking forward to meeting fellow caravaners and visiting some of the fantastic sites. No questions as yet! Just nice to be part of what already feels like a welcoming community

Elaine and Lindsey

It's not cold out there!  Not since they moved from a tent to a caravan. Cosy and toasty so they are.

Hello and welcome! Admire your camping tenacity, but sure you will love being in a tourer.

Ask away when you are ready, the Club has a wonderful network of small 5 van sites to enjoy, as well as the main Club Sites, lots of choice of location and facilities. laughing

Welcome to you both. I'm sure you're very excited about getting your hands on the van and looking forward to many trips away.

You don't say what part of the country you're living in but a good tip when you're getting used to everything is to stay local for the first 2 or 3 outings. As well as club sites there are some great CLs out there as well. So if you need any information about sites, or anything else come to that, just ask. smile

Enjoy your new van, E&L. Sounds as if you're on the right track already with stopping on your dealers sight initially to get to know the caravan before setting off on your travels.
