Just heard on the news that several aircraft including the Lancaster have been grounded because of mechanical (engine ) problems ,is this the end?

Hopefully there will be some clever engineers who can fix it. I believe it's only the merlin engine ones.

This is also appearing as a double post in latest discussions. Here's hoping it will be a problem free thread 😉

Thats the majority isnt it? there have been rumblings about the cost of the flight, is this an "excuse" to ground it?

Yes three other spitfires apparently but all out of action reason unknown.

I do hope you're not right 😢

But safety must come first for pilots and the spectators.

It's in Introductions - is it duplicated elsewhere?

This is quite ridiculous!   Why two threads on the one subject both by the same originator at the same time?   Clearly a system problem that any efficient forum would have sorted out hours ago!

Get a grip!

My post appears to be on the other-duplicate thread, cannot the mods merge the two?

Sadly, unlike other more efficient forum software, this set up doesn't allow that facility, TF.
