Avtex AMR994X - WiFi (advice please)

For the SIM card I'd get a Smarty 15GB card for £9 a month, as fair use restricts you to 12GB. https://smarty.co.uk/all-plans#data-only

We have an Avtex router etc which was fitted last year. Having the aerial on the roof means you get a much stronger signal. We visit a campsite in Norfolk which is notorious for bad mobile signal strength. The Avtex will allow us to stream tv using either ee or o2. We also had good signal in the Atentejo area of Portugal which is a fair distance from civilisation. There are mobile companies that specialise in rolling monthly contracts designed for motorhome users etc. I've also used a Tesco sim which worked well.

If you want to use the router in the eu be careful as most mobile providers either limit data use and/or charge a daily charge which gets really expensive when away for several weeks. I have an EE contract which allows free roaming as a free addon but you can opt to pay £25 for a month of roaming.

Its become much more complicated since we left the EU.

In the uk no issues.

Our Avtex router lets us connect to the tv using Ethernet, though I've just used a wifi connection so far. Assuming you have a smart tv.
