Good  morning

My name is Les and I am  going to look at a vehicle today, it is a Kia Sportage 2.0 (55 PLATE)

Would anybody have any advice as to the suitability of this  car as a starter . The kerb weight is 1700kg and 85% is around 1490kg the caravan I am interested in is 1185kg total length 23'2"

Thank you

I believe Kia back then did both a 2.0 litre petrol and a 2.0 litre diesel version, which one is yours? Obviously the diesel would be better for towing, torque and economy and the petrol version would probably have to be worked a little hard if your 1185kg weight is its MirO without payload.

It's a very old vehicle to start putting extra weight on it's power train. Make sure it's got good service records and mot's. you can check passed mot's on the gov website.

I think there was a 110hp and a 138hp diesel the 138hp would be preferable
