A big learning curve!

We purchased our first caravan, an Elddis Avante 556, as a joint purchase with my Parents, in August 2011. We took our first trip away in September, just a 20 minute drive up the road to the  Wharfedale site in Grassington, North Yorkshire, as a trial run. We had a great time and tried to see every mishap and mistake as a learning exercise. Not so easy, when the kids are playing up, the dog has run off and the gas has run out half way through cooking! Nothing a glass or 2 of chardonnay won't put right. We have been away several times now, including  October and February half term weeks and are wishing we had started caravanning years ago. We love the feeling of being able to switch off completely and relax in our little home on wheels
