13 pin plug realignment problem

Hi, can anyone help.We have just picked up a new lunar caravan last week, the van we had before was a Elddis . When we went to hook up the 13 pin plug it would not go in so the salesman told us to buy a realignment gadget. He used the gadget , it worked and we came home. My husband tried to hook up the plug yesterday and no matter what we do we cannot get the plug to fit and the gadget doesn't seem to be working either. what are we doing wrong and can anyone help

Hi everyone. we managed to realign the 13 pin plug by removing the outer sleeve, then the little gadget we have fitted in fine. we tried and connected it to the car , my husband carefully removed it from the car socket and it was out of line again. Will we have to correct this every time need to plug it into the car ?

Without seeing what you're doing it's hard to advise what's going wrong.  I turn the outer sleeve,  the plug pulls out or reconnects every time. 🤔

If you've removed the outer sleeve, there's nothing then to align, and the plug will just push into the socket on the car.

I would go to a local dealer and ask them to show you how to do it and practice there?
