uploading photo to profile

is there something magical that you have to do to upload photo to profile, everytime i try it tells me it must be jpeg, gif etc, all my photos are jpeg or gif, I know i am still using windows XP so i am a bit of a dinasour but photos are jpeg etc come what may, anybody else having similar difficulties ?

I seem to recall that someone posted that there was some highly technical way round it, but I just find it does not work on the pad. It seems odd that when they introduced the facility to add photos to posts,for iPads, they did not extend this to profile photos.

I was going to change my avatar last December but did not want to be stuck as Santa all year.

Chorsley Grange CL have not only changed their avatar but it alters as you read the post. Now there's clever 😂

Wise move not to be stuck as santa EasyT. I agree with BoleroBoy current avatar is good.

It took three attempts at posting before that image uploaded Bakers. First two attempts the post just sat there. I will just try another of my seasonal avatars and see if that works. Also a small image.
