Timing Out

Not wishing to teach Granny how to suck eggs !

I have seen quite a number of threads containing comments regarding the 'time out' limit. I thought I'd pass on the method I use to get around this problem.

On the main topic page I open the section I want to read & post on if I see a subject I wish to contribute to. I then open the Post in a second window (New Tab) & read the comments. If I want to post a comment I then use the reply box. Sometimes it can take a while to complete the comments , as I try to read through to make sure any content is not offensive. If I know I've been a long time I go back to the original page (1st Tab) & refresh that page. Sometimes I then have to sign in which I do. I then go back to the post I want to send (2nd Tab) & it will enter without any problem. Sometimes I get caught out so I use the back button to get back to my post, then sign in on the original page (1st tab) as mentioned before. I am using IE 9, whether this will work on Firefox or Chrome I can't say but it works for me.
