This is Stupid

The site grinds almost to a halt to feed the booking frenzy on one day, surely  four months is a suitable time for advance booking, this will spread the load as it will only include Easter ( Just about in some years) this will then spread the load on this site and very few will lose out , if any. Why, is it a tradition, a hangover from a bygone era? whatever in an electronic age get shot of it unless the site server can take the load
