Things haven't changed much after all!

Oh dear, having been away for quite a while and just recently come back, I was hoping that CT would have settled down a bit, and become a much happier place.

But no, its still populated by several who just love to argue. It dosen't matter what about, lets just be as arguementataive as possible score points, and try to belittle any one who you don't agree with.

Sadly several of the relatively new contributors are giving distinct signs of being the new trolls that I thought we might have got to go away.

Luckily being one of the old ***s I have been there before and my T shirt is quite worn out, so I'm not too worried about what abuse any of you want to chuck this way. But I will say this.

I have been a member of this club since the very early days, and I consider CT to be a very positive factor in the clubs continued success.  But the constant arguements and the attempts to put others down is not the way to hold any debate. The ability to put your point forward without rancour, sarcasm or sheer abuse is the mark of a proper well balanced person.  That does not require a private education or anything like that,  spelling is not the ultimate test I know that mine can let me down sometimes. I was a product of the secondary modern system but even I can appreciate the need to put an argement forward constructively.

Common Guys lets keep CT on the right track. Keep the lid on it!

Well I still dont know who had  started posting under a new name and it seems nobody else does either that or is afraid to say.

It's against T&Cs.

I'm a member of a number of forums they range from good discussion n forums to exceptional extremely boring. This forum falls into a  middle ranking.  The boring one claims to have no arguments but with two new posts a day that is not surprising

Many forums do not allow all areas to be viewed by non members. Why should lurkers benefit? Wink

The only 'new' thing is their forum name TF Laughing

So true, Jay. Three Musketeers at the last count. Makes a mockery of the T&Cs doesn't it?

Yes, AD, it is serious and I've already named one.

Write your comments here...Am I being a bit suspicious, but, how would you, an ordinary member of this CC forum, have access to information about the membership, only known to CC moderators and above. Have you friends in exalted places ?. Surprised

I personally have never noticed any new members who may have left the forum previously---- and I've been on this forum from the start.

If you know for certain that anyone has broken that T&C about rejoining under a different name, you will surely have notified the forum manager. Wink

You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to realise eventually who the infiltrators are K. At least two who regularly spring up have been banned from posting on CT at least twice under their original names. Sadly, for reasons known only to the Club, they remain free to hijack the forum when they feel like it. As for knowing who they are, eventually they give themselves away, plus you only have to take a look at who is "liking" their posts! Rocket science or conspiracy theory don't hold water I am afraid!

Write your comments here...I remember "liking" one of your posts, (a long time ago mind). Does that, in your eyes constitute suspicious behaviour ????  Wink

Unfortunately the temptation to respond to "alter egos" (banned members who return under a new log in to cause trouble) is irresistable to some...I've probably done it myself but it's not a good idea.

DD you can see who is liking posts under latest activities at the top of the page, click on Club Together.

It is odd for anyone who was originally banned to be so desperate to go thru all the cloak & dagger AKA's just to post on a Forum they could be on legitimately on if they'd not been naughty in the first placeLaughingLaughing
