Such a bad site!

Yes, it was clearly visible on the home page with the date and times. Still no improvement on log out and profile pics. On booking day will people be logged in for longer than needed and hold up the queue? Or can IT genuinely log everyone out after ten minutes?

On booking day brue the automatic time out has been suspended for the last few years. The 10 minutes for booking is totally different and you still remain logged in at the end of it. You have just to get back into the bookings.  Makes it fair one booking and you get chucked out.

I am aware of the booking day procedures Steve, but since the automatic log out isn't working properly on here my query is will it be reliable on booking day?

Such a bad site!

What does this actually mean? Are people referring to the whole experience of the Club website or are they meaning Club Together? As far as I am concerned I have never had any problems with the booking side of the site. As far as Club Together is concerned I don't particularly have a problem with the discussion area, maybe that is the way I tend to look at the forum which is to go through each header to see what is new, I don't use latest activity.I don't follow discussions.  My biggest disappointment is the Story Section but I suspect that is such a big job in terms of IT time that it will never be sorted? Perhaps what people should do is list the three things they personally feel need immediate attention so that we get a better idea of where the priority should be?

Good post David. I doubt if the forum section software will ever be as good as any of it's rivals. Does that make it a "Bad Site", the jury's out on that.

Just work with what is there and if you don't like it,  don't use it.  There are plenty of other forums to choose from.

cool

I’ve just composed a reply pointing out the things you’ve overlooked, David, and the damned site lost my reply!

I give up.

It does seem a little poor after almost a year, that the search in U.K. Sites still lists all the counties if I select, say Devon and Cornwall and then all the sites when I pick Cornwall. (See photos below)

Yes I know the appropriate ones are in bold and there are ways round the problem. But after a year.......

The reason for the content removed one above is I forgot to bold the bit at the top from your post and then it would not let me do it as an edit. Just one of the many minor problems.

Good last paragraph KšŸ‘šŸ», most of us are in & out every now & then. For those who spend a lot of the day on it I guess it could be annoying constantly dealing with the issues. I know one thing-constant griping is having no effect other than on the blood pressure of the main griperslaughinglaughing

I've been on this thread by default as I'm more interested in seeing the log out and profile pic problem being addressed as per another thread in this section. I've been wondering why I can post a photo using jpg but not change my profile. I assume new members can't add a profile/avatar pic at the moment. I also don't like my log in details being retained recently and I haven't found a way round that, I'm not having similar problems elsewhere. No, it's not a bad site, it's fairly popular but it never seems to work consistently which is surprising when you look at other web sites functioning well. I realise we're lucky to have this form of communication, I will retain the string and yoghurt pots for emergencies...wink
