Has any one used the route planning tool to get to a caravan club site. I have just looked at Exbridge Lakeside I went on plan a route to this site so typed in my postcode which is a pr2 Preston  post code and it planed my route from Moffat in Scotland. So i changed from the post code any typed in Preston gues what it still planed my route from Moffat in Scotland

It's just worked fine for me, from my home address, and even typing in Preston to see what happened, it planned a route from Preston just as it should have done.

It works fine for me, too.

Unfortunately, it doesn't always pick the best route for vans, especially the final approach, but it finds the right address for start and finish.

At the top of the 'page' you can see 'UK Holidays'.  Click that, and at the bottom of the second column from the left is the 'route planner'.

Personally I prefer to just go straight to Google maps. The map then fills the screen and is a lot easier to navigate about than the route planner offering. The primary route it gives, is exactly the same. However, it seems to show more options.

I always back up my route and print off via the Michelin route finder they are V.G. remember to include the vehicle or ,if you are towing.

Same as I (and others) still do. Look at a map, remember the route, drive it!
