I have a van currently for sale in the club classifieds and have received a strangely worded enquiry with two mobile phone numbers that don't work and an email address I don't feel inclined to reply to, using my address. It reads:

"I saw your item { Autotrail Cheyenne 635SE 2008 } ,which you placed on advert for sale. I am interested in buying the item. I will like to know if it is still available for sale and it's working condition. Last price?, My mode of payment is , BANK DRAFT, Cashier cashier and money order that will get cleared into your account within 5-7 days before the pick-up, Please reply promptly so that I can make a decision."

The man's name sounds English but 'signed' with the surname first, which adds to the bad vibes. What do people think – scam?
