Has anyone else had prtoblems logging onto our Caravan Club website whilst using Microsoft Internet Exporer (IE10) Windows 8? ... I first found I had a problem when I tried to log-on using my brand new lap-top. The CC site would not recognise my computer operating system.

Now when this happens with older system IE6 or IE7 systems, you go to the "Tools bar" at the top of your internet browser page having already loaded the website in question. You then click on "Compatability View Settings", and click to allow your website to be deemed trustworthy. However Windows 8 does not have a "Tools Bar".

I went first to the CC technical issues pages. They inform me to utilise the IE6 or 7 methods to solve the problem. At this point I started to worry as it looked as if the CC did not realise that 1E10 is a totally different system set up. I then telephones the CC I.T. help desk. They informed me after repeating what was printed on the website that the CC website is NOT compatible with IE10 Windows 8, whether it is operated in "Metro" or "Full" operating mode. (you will get to know what these modes are when you start to use the system). Additionally I was told the CC website is also NOT compatible with ANY Apple - Mac products. ---- WOW!!!

A few facts now that I have gained from speaking both to Microsoft UK and Apple London. Of all the Microsoft computer operating system products purchased in 2012, IE10 Windows 8 represented 36%. Off ALL computer products purchased in 2012, Apple-Mac represented 47%. These figurers are set to sise substancially in 2013 - 14.

I like most caravaners tend to use either my Apple IPad or my IE10 Lap Top when I am touring both in the UK and Europe. Am I right in thinking that if I own the latest (but not exactly new) computer products, I am unable to log onto our Caravan Club? --- By the way. The only way I could write this message on the Club Together Blog is by using my old steam driven PC. ...On its last legs!

What does any body else think? Has anyone else found this problem?

I love caravanning...and I particularly love being involved with the Caravan Club. Its a fantastic club and institution. But come on guys. You MUST get into the 21st Century. Please........
