Watcha v9 here,

I can today confirm that the siege at Grinstead Towers is finally over.Following months of complaints and unanswered emails the "IT experts" were persuaded to come out of their office in a covert raid called operation "broken promise" Undecided.Several arrests were made under the trades descriptions act and charges are expected too follow.

On a more serious note, I wonder if the Club is actually having second thoughts about the usefulness of the forums? While there are 350,000 registered users only a very small fraction actually post anything. I don't think there are more than 30 to 50 regular posters and even then the same old subjects keep cropping up and are dominated by the few. Is it worth the expenditure for so few active users?

The level of interaction between the CC staff and Facebook users is vast compared to CT. Facebook works on this "feelgood" feeling of reply and response, But whether any of it improves levels of membership overall remains to be seen. Anyway thanks to the forum we can actually say these things and enjoy someone like V9 posting something which is humourous. I don't know how many subjects can repeatedly crop up to do with vanning but they will appear on here as well as on other social media. At least there is more personal member interaction on CT even if it appears to be amongst a few in some instances...but not always.Wink

Given the number of weeks we have been waiting for a response on the "following a discussion" thread, there clearly isn't a lot of interaction on parts of CT. I am beginning to think the new forum has been released and it is called Facebook.

Perhaps if it could be viewed by members only and there was more interaction from the Club it would attract more members to participate. There is certainly more potential for the  Club to reach out to more members with its views. They could also save money on the Q&A seesions run around the country which generally are only attended by hard core centre members anyway.
