Is it a conspiracy?

As will be seen on other threads, I have recently asked for advice from other members about how to upload a profile picture to my CT profile - I had one before but have recently had to reset my profile name which has meant my picture has gone with the old profile.

I have tried to upload the same picture (jpg) and following advice received from other members have resized it to several different sizes to no avail. Each time I get the following error message:  "Upload failed. Must be a valid image (jpg,gif,png,bmp)"

I have e-mailed the Community Dept. for advice but have received no reply. Yesterday, I tried the Live Chat system but having stated the problem I was asked to wait while the operator sought advice. Unfortunately, I was waiting so long the system timed me out and I wasn't able to reconnect.

When I uploaded the previous photo I was using a Windows based computer but I am now using an Apple Mac so I don't know if this is the problem. Whatever, I sense that the CC would rather photos were not uploaded to the site - or is it me???? :-(
