Impossible to read posts

Have been trying to read posts for the last 5 evenings and am finding that I am unable to read the vast majority of them.

The site has been slow previously but never this bad.

Using Safari on a MacBook Pro if that's any help.

Hi TW, maybe join Weight Watchers instead! Lol....

There’re countless categories/groups on their App, (as there is on here), from hobbies/interests, pets, age, cooking, locations/regions, travel to health/wellbeing & even cooking/eating ‘on the road’. All easily accessed with no time-consuming, frustrating server errors.

It has lots of features & is really good value for money .....

Thanks for your informative reply anyway

The club is relying on Facebook for communications which isn't good enough for a prominent organisation. The web site should be their main user site and it is still not working properly.

My suspicion is that Club Together doesn't fit with the current Club image which is all based around Facebook and Twitter and I don't think this forum is seen as as being that relevant in Media terms. Eight years ago when this forum was started the likes of Facebook had not reached the heights of popularity it now enjoys, not only with individuals but also commercially. It is probably the latter which is driving the Club's Media operation as they know they can reach far more people than on a forum like this. You would hope that the two could run hand in hand with the same priority being given to both but I would suggest that is currently a one sided battle?

I'm one of the 21% of non FB users in the UK. CAMC has provided social contact by various routes, part of their articles of association, a good thing really. So even if the forum is seen as "old fashioned, old hat or just plain old" I'd be glad if someone somewhere can fix it?! wink

Another non Twitface user here. I couldn’t get into CL section last night, so it isn’t just the forum. Wonderful advert for the Club.☚ī¸

I found every time I looked at club sites I was jumped to a booking queue which wasn't what I wanted at all.

WD40 usually fixes most things...wink

Perhaps not as a promotional tool but I would like to think it does serve as some use to the Club which FB and Twitter doesn't give. After all many of the changes we have seen in recent years I think have all stemed from discussion on here, eg rolling booking system.

I don't disagree with your view Peedee and Club Together is a good place the discuss things like you mention because you usually get a wide range of views for and against and often neutral which I would have thought was very useful to the Club. But we can't avoid the fact that very little priority is given to Club Together. We have been having these server problems for the best part of a week now and you would have thought that a day or two would be long enough to sort them out? I wonder how quickly they would attend to a problem on the Facebook page?

Out of interest I went into Club Sites on the top menu bar and typed in Steamer Quay, I was taken straight to the booking queue again.
