Further feedback on the ‘new’ format

I was just passing, 5:20pm on 22 Dec, and find the ‘Ask the Expert’ thread inviting feedback has closed with a request to continue in the ‘How to use…’ section. I feel that this section would have been a better place, anyway. What did it have to do with asking experts?

So here’s my pennyworth:

Why are you so precious about your corporate colours? The site is failing in its mission to communicate by placing text in pale colours, and why the need for a “free eye-test”? Learn how to achieve the image you want without compromising the material contained.

A PM facility is an important part of a forum, but there’s no sign of one.

If the content is of value, it needs to be found more easily. That means a better organisation, navigation method and search facility.

It may be nice to be different, but occasional visitors will find it unfamiliar and not be encouraged to revisit.

Good suggestions were placed on a number of threads a couple of years ago. You should dig those out and review them if you want to please the ‘old school’. I do not understand why we were invited to put forward suggestions if they were just to be ignored. Some people put a lot of thought into that.
