Classifieds Scam? (Closed, see existing thread)

First post for me so go easy! Hoping someone could provide some grounding for me..... I listed our van for sale last weekend via the club and have some nice enquiries on it already which is great. However, one came through yesterday which, after I confirmed the van was still for sale, reads as below. First thought is obviously it's dodgey but then thinking about how paypal works maybe not? Or am I being an idiot? Thoughts VERY much appreciated!

I've seen lately, I'll have it for the listed price but will be glad

it sold as am buying it for my first son as a surprise birthday gift
and which i don't want him to know about it until is picked up, so can

air-force and presently in camp serving the nation which is strictly
