Amended Community Guidelines

Hello everyone,

Further to the recent discussions that have taken place where arguments have been occuring and offensive posts and comments have been made, we have had to review our procedures and as a result we have amended the Community Guidelines to reflect this. We have done this to ensure Club Together remains a safe and constructive environment for everyone to enjoy. The majority of discussions and posts are informative, fun, friendly and respectful – even if there has been a difference of opinion. Unfortunately offensive posts are the ones that stand out and I personally feel they have been reflecting Club Together in an unfair and unfavourable light.

I believe that Club Together has been a huge benefit to The Club and that real friendships have been formed. The Social Room is a popular area and it would be fantastic if we could use it as it was intended – to make friends and share our thoughts and advice.

To try and prevent future arguments and offensive comments the Community Guidelines have been updated to include the new procedures. These are also outlined below:

We will delete posts where we feel appropriate. If a discussion becomes insulting, or offensive comments are being made, the discussion may either be closed or Deleted User by the Community Manager.

If we feel a person has made a comment that contravenes our guidelines, we will contact the person to advise them. If they continue to post in a way that we deem inappropriate after this, that persons account will be locked for 3 months. If the person is a member of The Caravan Club this will mean they will not be able to access their online account for this time period or any of the services associated with the online account.

Once the person’s online account has been unlocked, if they continue to deliberately cause offence, abuse other people on Club Together or contravene these guidelines, The Caravan Club will review the person’s membership and appropriate action will be taken.

It is of course difficult to please everyone and I hope that you agree that the measures outlined are a way forward for Club Together so we can continue to be proud of our community. We would also really appreciate it if people can take the time to read through Club Together’s terms and conditions.

Thank you all for your understanding and for your continued support of Club Together. Smile
