Adding photos to stories

I've just posted a short story. I wrote it in Word first then copied and pasted. I had selected a batch of photographs to use, but that is when I came unstuck. At the end of my text it said "do you want to add photos" so I clicked "add" and uploaded five (the limit). But when I looked at the submitted story, only the first was showing. There were no upload erors, it said each one was complete. So I then added a few photos into the text in the same way I do for normal posts.

But what happened to the ones I uploaded folding the instructions?

Should I have inserted the photos in my Word document and copied and pasted the whole lot at once?

And by I had finished faffing about I was timed out, so the selection is not as I intended!

Ah well, better luck next time!

Goldie

This could be a bit complicated but I will try and explain!!! I have seen your story so I understand the situation. When you submit a story you can upload five photographs (as you did) direct from your computer. These five photos appear in the slide show at top of the story. To my knowledge these are the only photos that can be uploaded directly to Club Together from a computer. When you add a photo to a post or further down the story they have all got to be link to a url. I think if you added the photos into a Word document they wouldn't show up because they are not linked to a url. I will admit I have not tried it so it so its only a theory so far!!!

Goldie looks like all your photos loaded

Not exactly - the first one did, but I copied the others from my Weebly site and pasted them in.(As I do when using photos in ordinary posts).  It took a bit longer than I expected and therefore got timed out before I could remove the ones I did in error.

Next time I'll be more prepared

It doesn't seem possible to add photos or videos from my Ipad either in the discussion or story section.. Maybe, this is something that can only be done through a desktop or laptop computer.
