Is it possible for members to discuss threads in a friendly way ,rather than the argumentative way that a lot of threads seem to be going at the moment , there seem to be quite a few topics that seem to end up closed because of the play ground fightingYell, yes we all have differing views, and that's fine and nothing wrong with a bit of friendly banter thrown in ,but just lately CT seems to have come a school play ground ,

Just sayingCool

Ask the Warden could be interesting but the answers might depend on whether you get Mr Happy or Mr Grumpy.

I suspect that's exactly the sort of comment that puts wardens off posting on here, Bob.

+1 doesn't help to be so negative so early on, it's just more have a go at the wardens

..As Tinny says  and there would be one or two who post that would find a negative response  how ever the question was answeredFrown

I don't think I actually said that, JVB.

In view of the OP, I suggest we don't digress further down the path towards disagreement over an off topic issue - great idea as it is.

Can't argue with that HD, also agree with 'a road to Damascus' with you. Wink

Have i been rude or offensive to anyone??? ,i hope not , or is that not what you mean with that comment, i might be thick ,but i dont get it............Cool

Rude or offensive? Not that I've noticed. Don't worry about it. At least if you've had a damascene experience it hasn't struck you blind otherwise you'd have to join the Blind Dogs for the Guides or is it the other way round?Wink

JK, it's a pity that wardens don't post more on CT but i can understand some of the constraints you and other wardens can be under

I think we should have a section called "Ask a warden"

Write your comments here...

We do have a social media policy to adhere to which is somewhat constricting, that aside it's a great forum with a great wealth af information for our hobby. Ask a warden would be great until the usual baiters spoil it!!

Fully understand your position 'JK' but the 'Ask a Warden' is not a bad idea. I wonder if the Community Manager might consider this as a topic in the 'Ask the Experts' where perhaps a Warden could answer questions live, in that way maybe it could be moderated better Smile ................ and quickly closed for discussion afterwards Laughing

I have contacted the CM to see if it is an option...........

Quite remarkable that, even on a thread requesting more friendliness and less argument, some people even use this thread to 'have a go' in unison against a fellow member.

Incredible!

Surely this comment of yours is just the thing that the OP was about!!

I guess the stumbling block to 'ask the warden' would be the fact that although there are obvious similarities between sites many have specific issues/circumstances peculiar to them. That definitive all encompassing answer/rule on certain topics may therefore not be out there. Such places may need site/pitch specific management and a definite call for that appreciated, by many, wardens discretion.

A very few will not find that helpful in the slightest, mind!
