What's the worst weather you've caravanned in?

A few years ago, just days before the terrible winter we all had, we were at the Braemar site. All was well, no sign of any bad weather. One particular evening we took the dogs for their bedtime walk and although we remarked how very cold it had become we didn't think anything of it. After our nightcap, we closed all the blinds and curtains to keep the heat in and retired to bed. I could hear an owl hooting across the road and I thought all is well and drifted off to sleep. In the morning when we opened the blinds we nearly fainted. The whole of the front window was covered in snow, on opening the door we could hardly see the car. There must have been about three feet of snow overnight! There were icicles hanging  from the roof of the caravan half way down the back of it. The road out of Glen Shee was closed and we were well and truly stuck for a few days. Unfortunately a thaw set in on day three and we were able to make it back home in time for work. The surrounding scenery was especially beautiful so it was worth it, but I'll never forget the surprise we got when we put the blinds up  in the morning!
