What is your favourite caravan layout?

Initially we tried several different layouts and for the past 25 years have settled for the rear bathroom and side dinette version. This inevitably incorporates a side kitchen and gives us a large lounge area. Our choice is for wrap around seating and no front chest. We do not have, nor do we want a fixed bed – to make up a double in the front takes exactly 4 ½ minutes – it is not the chore that some think it is. We are so often without a mains supply that we have a solar panel on the roof and this guarantees the battery voltage will not go critical for the fridge and Alde heating.

We like the above layout because it suits the way we use our caravan. We rally all year and in the winter and the large lounge is a bonus when the weather is too cold to sit out. Also, because we rally, we often entertain and we can sit six comfortably for dinner at the main table. The rear bathroom means we can shower and dress in comfort.
