What do you put in your caravan?

We have just got our caravan and this weekend will be the third time we have been away in it, We have bought bits and bobs deck chairs, another aquaroll etc so the weight will be adding up. Do you put things in the car or just leave the stuff in the van then check the nose weight?
Sorry proberly a easy question but we are just new and learning all the time.
