Having looked at a few posts regards the cost of this and the cost of that, i have just, off the top of my head put these costs for 12 mnths together.

Depreciation (Average I would think) £900

Insurance                                       £300

Servicing (Main Dealer)                    £180

Storage                                          £330

Total                                               £1710 per year

All the above before I have actually been anyware!!!

Apart from depreciation, we could get rid of all the other costs, some maybe not the storage, but its still an hefty price to pay for the privilage of buying and owning a caravan especially if purchesed new and renewed, as some do, every 3 years or so.

So the answer is, buy and old van, don't insure or service it unless your a DIY fan and park it on your drive if you have space. I could then rent it out as a spare roomLaughing
