Televisions in Awnings

On a couple of occasions we have been unlucky enough to be near to someone on a club site who has set up their TV inside their awning. I dont know if they expect the awning material to have magic powers of soundproofing or if they just want to share their viewing preferences with everyone within hearing distance. I doubt if anyone sets out to annoy others on a site but it seems strange that anyone could be oblivious to the irritation they are causing. I raised this in a friendly way the second time it happened and the person was surprised that I was bothered. Should TV's be restricted to inside vans, or am I being unreasonable?
