Have the powers that be decided it's up to us whether we have log off from the forum rather than having to 're log on ever 30 secs? I've not logged on once today 😊

Back on a CAMC site today and the auto logout is back at work. It would seem that the Airangel/CAMC site WiFi now logs you out automatically if there is no activity for about ten minutes. Tried both iPhone and Kindle HDX and it happens with both. When I tried to use logout.net it would not work. A bit of a faff having to log in a lot of times but does make it easier to use different devices.

I have also had trouble getting onto this site as CAMC button on the Airangel front page does not work and had to make several attempts at alternative access using history.

I have always found, how long I stay logged on depends on how many are likely to be using it on site. If I log on before going to bed, it is still often logged on first thing in the morning. Where as if l log on at 4/5pm, I am often logged out when I try an hour or so later.

Since 7.00 am  this morning when there seemed to be very few caravans showing any signs of life the auto logout has happened after about 10 minutes of inactivity on the Airangel site WiFi.

During the day it has been impossible to get onto the CAMC site except through Airangel site WiFi which how I am using now to post this. I am guessing that when the paid for service is under pressure free access to the CAMC site is curtailed.

Or when the site computers are in use?

You could be right. I have just logged out of Airangel WiFi and back onto here without any problem now the office is closed.

I think the theory about the office may be flawed. Just after my last post I was auto logged out and have only just got back in and the office has obviously been closed. I am now more  convinced that the link to the CAMC site is via the Airangel site WiFi and that when this is overloaded the free access comes last.

Yes auto logout on the Airangel site WiFi may help prevent cyber crime but can make it hard work having to constantly log back in if your sending emails and awaiting replies.

Other than stand on our heads we have done everything to remove the permanent password detail holding on the CT sign in. The problem is not on my phone but on the laptop. Although this makes for a faster connection I am puzzled that it remains. Is the permanent log in, stated in the OP still running too?
