Anybody got any experience with these covers .? Are they good or bad ? Worth the money ? Do they cause condensation or damp ?  Are they value for money ?

Had them on my last two caravans and absolutely no problems. No condensation or damp. They keep the caravan nice and clean. Good value as tailored fit and the easy fit system does exactly what is says.

Had one for a previous van. Didn't cause any condensation or damp problems. Make sure the van is clean before fitting it and don't put anything over the windows before fitting, some people used to suggest putting clingfilm on them but it destroys the plastic.

I found them a right faff to get on and off, the extending poles they provide bend very easily when putting it on. I gave up with it when I changed van and haven't bothered since as the van got damaged in storage and I didn't see the damage until I took the cover off. By then it was too late to check what had happened on the site cctv.

We have found ours to be easy to fit and it really protects the van whilst being towed. We remove when the van is in storage.

Are you saying you leave the cover on whilst towing the van and remove it when it is in storage? I would have thought it should be the other way around - unless I'm missing something? :-)

Hi BrianJosie, we have a fully fitted easy fit cover and a towing cover from Protec.  Both have been excellent and done their job well.  We use the full cover in storage over the winter (4/5 months) and everything has been fine no issues with damp or condensation, the caravan stays perfect inside.  We use decorating poles (for paint rollers) now to put cover on as the provided ones tend to bend if pulled at the wrong angle.  We have used covers for 8 years now and wouldn’t be without one. The towing cover works well too; we have the towing jacket type with the front zip, which is a bit tricky to get started but otherwise very good.  Good company to deal with too.

Are you asking about tow covers or storage covers. surprised

I might be confused..

Although I was aware that there are front covers to protect from stone chips etc when towing I didn't know you could get a full cover apart from those to protect the van when in storage etc.

You learn something new everyday!

Have any members used Specialised Covers, I am looking at theirs for my Vantage motorhome.  I see that the poles seem not up to the job, but how about the covers.  Any comments appreciated
