Parking on pitch

Hello hope you can all understand what I’m trying to find out

I’m not the worlds best at reversing the caravan so tend to look for pitches that I can come at the pitch so I can drive onto it so my caravan is up to the little white post and my tow bar is at the front of the pitch

and I don’t mean on a waterlogged pitch or even wet grass so I don’t churn everything up as we all no it’s been a lovely few weeks and ground is quite hard  so you all get the picture

so is there any rule that says I’m MUST reverse on to a pitch.

When we had caravans, our mover was invaluable.  Yes we went on club manoeuvring courses, yes we tried to reverse into pitches etc but we generally used to use the mover.  It was also very useful to allow us to get on/off the drive in a timely fashion.

We had different types on different vans; the best was the one that you could engage with the remote, not with the handle/lever that you used manually.

Many years ago in France, the mover got us into a tight pitch in a French site which had a tree for shade!  We were the entertainment for the day!  I dont think many of the French had seen movers at that point.

Health & safety is there to protect everyone Tinny as you know👍🏻, unfortunately there are some who think it’s ‘not for them’ or make fun of it, probably the 1st ones who complain when they’ve hurt themselves doing things unsafely. As JK said-ask, the wardens they are the guardians of on-site safety followed by every individual to risk assess for themselves.
