After 50 years of tent and caravan camping we‘re acquiring our first motorhome in September.  I’m thinking about getting a Nemesis PLUS wheel lock.  Any thoughts on it or alternatives would be helpful.

Plus if I do go down the Nemesis PLUS route is it best to fit the two special wheel bolts to a front or rear wheel (nearside or offside)?

Thanks for any insight you can offer.

If you're talking about on site or when parked out and about, I think you'll find a steering wheel lock much more convenient to use.

A wheel clamp of any sort on a MH partially negates the benefit of its 'up and away' driveability although I can understand it may be considered necessary in storage. Don't forget though that any ne'er do wells making off with a MH only have to lift the axle bearing the wheel clamp to take it away on a suspended tow. Also, your base vehicle will have an immobiliser as standard.

Sorry, I can't help re the Nemesis as I've never used a wheel clamp but thought you may find my points worth some consideration.

Our insurance company insisted on proof that we had both a tracker and alarm fitted, before they would insure our MH. There was no deduction for them, they just wouldn’t insure it. As there was no mention or insistence on a wheel clamp I would assume they don’t consider they give any additional protection. In our storage compound there are quite a few MH’s, one or two do have clamps fitted, but not the majority.

Thanks for your response – oh the confidence that comes from experience!

At the moment we feel our new MH is very vulnerable and a wheel clamp would have extra deterrent value.  Once two wheel bolts have been replaced with Nemesis PLUS ones (permanent) the Nemesis is very simple and quick to lock onto the wheel.
