Motor Mover Fix

We arrived back at the storage compound on Saturday after a week away and duly went to put the caravan back in it’s slot. I couldn’t get the motor mover (PowrTouch Evolution Auto) to engage, it fired up, but wouldn’t engage. After a bit of investigation, I found the solution. Remove the plastic covers ( you’ll need a mallet), remove the plastic grommets and using the supplied ‘key’, turn the screw clockwise, two full turns, each side. An easy fix that only took 5 minutes, and now works as normal. I note that some PowrTouch movers have a cut-out in the cover, so removal won’t be necessary. Hopefully this info might at some point be useful to someone 👍

I think you’d have to be very unlucky for the battery to be totally flat/sufficiently discharged having just moved the van.

depends how long c/van had been not used .and especially if an alarm is fitted ,there maybe enough to move it but to late to realise it was stuck on the wheel,

As I alluded to, I have a spare battery, which means I can (and do) swap over on a fairly regular basis when not in use. At the start of the season, it gets a fully charged battery.

We did the same when we had a caravan in storage, as the tracker/ alarm drained it. I always put the fresh one in prior to engaging our automatic power touch. Plus as we were always on EHU it always had a good charge when we returned.
