We have only had our motor Home a short while and realised the huge amount of condensation you can get on the inside of the windscreen in one night.

After reading various Forums we purchased a screen from Ebay and it arrived today. We are very pleased with it. We put together a little video that might help others:

Here is a link for the one we bought

Wonderful things  those screen covers, just one point--  should you need to remove them when it has been raining if, say moving to another site or heading home, then they normally sit quite neatly in the shower room / area of the 'van until they have dried.

They are indeed, ABM. Personally, I prefer Taylormade/Silverscreen and think they’re a better fit but as long as it does the job, that’s what matters.

Used to find them useful in the days when my MH was fitted with curtains. However, since acquiring a van with Remis blinds have never felt the need for one. Never enjoyed storing them away when wet, covered in frost and/ or bird poo.

Our Taylormade is now nine years. A couple of years ago I sent it back for them to replace the Velcro which they did, not only quickly but at a very reasonable cost. Useful in hot weather as well as cold.

Ours is a silverscreen and we find it much more efficient than the Remis Blinds we also have fitted, at all but the warmest times of the year. Particularly at the back end of September, using the Remis still results in a fair bit of condensation, where as the silverscreen results in zero.  We are lucky in that we have a garage in which to stow it however.

Surely the water must condense somewhere else. The question is, where?

Condensation forms when warm air meets a cold surface. If you have no cold surface, ie a warmer insulated windscreen, then there's no condensation.

I did read elsewhere that its worth using the Remis Blinds in conjunction with the insulated screen cover as they act as an extra layer. Not put it to the test yet, anyone else tried that?

Our little MH doesn’t have interior blinds, but it does have curtains. We don’t use them often, sometimes in Summer when on a one nighter and we are doing a quick getaway, very occasionally in Winter when they do seem to add a tiny bit more warmth. We have the Taylormade screens as well, fit perfectly, and even after seven years of use are like new. Always dried off and any marks removed after use. We don’t use them when MH is stored at home. No condensation at all with the blinds on.
