Does anyone else go it alone?

As a teacher with a little longer holidays than most, instead of looking longingly at the caravan I decided to take myself and the dogs away. I have to say, I was quickly a star attraction when I pulled up alone on site (I can only assume that boredom had decended upon everyone at that point) and was instructed by a very friendly and helpful warden where to maneuver my van. Now this was no mean feat as it was peak season and an unlevel uphill pitch. Not to be deterred by the audience, my new Conqueror was swiftly reversed (no mover I must add) into the exact spot, chocked, leveled and the dogs tied up at the side in minutes. I was congratulated, made a cup of tea by my new neighbours and subsequently made some fantastic new friends! But why, you might add, did I cause such a stir? Because I'm female! So, all you girls out there, don't wait for the men!
