CL Price Rises

I have just read a report on FB about a cl owner apologising for putting up her prices.

I thought it a very refreshing reply to some of the large price increases I've seen lately. What cl's owners have to remember is that they are not the only ones suffering from the present climate, so are the members.

I have pasted the article below with some minor changes for identity reasons.

"Just returned from this little gem CL.  It’s *************** at ************, There are EHUs around the edge of the field and a toilet and shower. The owner is extremely friendly and checked with us most days that everything was ok. She said she had to increase the pitch price this year to £15pn, which I said was understandable and still a very good price. Her response was that she didn’t want to increase it too much as WE had to pay so much more for fuel than last year and if she charged too much people wouldn’t be able to afford to use their caravans and motor homes. I thought that it’s a great shame more site owners don’t have the same outlook.".

Very close to a normal club site price for somewhere that doesn't even appear to have a toilet block. The location, whilst reasonable isn't outstanding. Notwithstanding its operating costs which, I presume, the owner has calculated, it seems to about double what one might expect for what is offered.

It’s a hay field with parkingšŸ¤·šŸ»‍ā™‚ļø, what justifies £35, I must be missing something. Do guests have access to the facilities in the house?, surely there’s a plus point herešŸ¤”

It looks like the CAMC gremlin is at it again. The displayed price should be £25 which would be too expensive for me anyway for what seems to be offered.

We know area well. That’s the most optimistic pricing I have ever seen for a CLšŸ¤£ (Even at the correct price of £25) You can possibly get breakfast in the B&B according to the webpage blurb. Superb location for anyone with an interest in potash mines.

Could be Yorkshire sense of humour I suppose. Hard to tell, there are no reviews.šŸ˜‰

Edit, in fairness, reviews for B&B are good.

It was quoted at £35 last week and again just before I posted this morning. I wonder if HQ has read the post and corrected the price.

I looked at your link around 9am, Harry, and it said £35 then.

I've never before know CAMC make a correction that quicklyšŸ˜„

Thanks for the heads upšŸ‘šŸ». I agree £25 is still too rich for me. I was paying up to £20 3/4yrs ago but they had ponds, fire pits(free) toilets & chem points, copse(plural). Before anyone asks-Suffolk that’s all I can remember, I’ve got a mental picture re the site but not the namešŸ¤·šŸ»‍ā™‚ļø
