A really mad idea

Why not get the Caravan Club to take over the Camping and Caravan Club?! ;-) Just think- the CC could work on C&CC sites where there is a gap in the CC network (like Norwich) and bring these C&CC sites up to the CC standard... C&CC super sites (Teversal?) could just be rebadged... where there are sites next door to each other (like Sandringham) part of the C&CC site could be added to the CC site, and the rest used for storage... C&CC sites which would cost too much to add 'posh' facilities could become minimum facility sites with just ehus, water, and toilet emptying at a low cost per night to suit those people who prefer this style of site... even volunteer warden sites (CC already has a few of these)... just think- a wider network, a wider range of choice, all for one membership fee! Economies of scale (fewer HQ admin people overall)... could even compromise by having a discount for members who can prove that they draw a state pension ;-) .... the mind totally boggles - think the unthinkable!
