Serious leak in roof of Buccaneer Clipper

Has anyone experienced problems with the roof of 2018 built Buccaneer Caravans. After the long heat spell n a Sunday we had an almighty downpour which lasted all day. The following day my wife went into the caravan to obtain some apple sauce, only to find the whole of the lounge area was flooded, I mean serious flooding. We had a flip top waste bin in between the lounge seats and it had 24" of water in it. I took the caravan out of the storage area and removed the full breathable cover and then proceeded to put a hose on the area to see if I could see where it was coming in and inside it was like Niagara Falls. The caravan was purchased in late April, 2018. I contacted the dealer who was very responsive and asked we bring it to them the next day. Upon examination of the roof we found a serious dip in the roof in front of the long skylight and just behind the joint where the front panel meets. It has taken the manufacturer to 5 weeks to supply the parts. Although the dealer has attempted to repair it the serious dip is still in the roof which will cause water to pool in that area it will eventually go again. I strongly believe this is faulty manufacture. Any comments on this would be much appreciated.

I would seek legal advice as not fit for purpose and also it seems the cover is a waste of money as whats the point of them if they are not waterproof.

I have a 2017 Buccaneer Commodore with the same issue, I would be interested in how you have resolved it as I am contemplating getting mine stripped and the front reinforced by a local repairer, at the moment I have a stay inside the van holding the roof level to stop water ingress when we have a storm.

This is a 5 year old thread and the OP no longer seems to be registered here so I doubt you’ll get a response but I hope you get your issue resolved.

Bought a new Clipper in early 2019. Has had damp faults pretty much ever since we bought, mostly around front windows but tbh had better sieves for holding water . Dealer has dealt with each request for warranty work to date, but has now dumped elddis, personally don’t now have any trust in vans integrity especially past 10years warranty. Dealers quality of workmanship has been varied over the years so no longer showroom condition even though we take pride in interior condition  Fundamentally- hope Elddis potentially rot like their vans - would never buy another…
