Wetherspoons total dog ban

Went to the Bell Hotel in Norwich.  Sat in the outdoor beer garden.  Actually this is a tarmac area right next to the busy road.  There was me, Mrs R and Henry the dog.  We were asked to leave as " dogs are not allowed in the premises". we pointed out that we were not "in" the premises but in the outside drinking area.  All to no avail, we had to leave.  We were told that it was company policy.   Further investigation revealed that the Bell is a Wetherspoon pub and that (see the FAQ on wetherspoon's home page) no dogs are allowed in or on Wetherspoons premises.  Okay so they don't like dogs (this is nothing to do with H&S) I will reciprocate.  From this moment on I will never give Wetherspoons a penny of my business.  Hope others will join me.
