Awful news, Kerry. We've been there too and know just how horrible the emptiness in the house can be.

You did your best for her, big hug from me.

😢😢😢

I feel so sad for you and can't imagine how you must be feeling.  I know how empty the house is when Meg is away just for three hours at the groomers, so goodness knows how you must be feeling at the moment.  Just keep thinking about all the happy times you shared together and all the love you gave each other.

Thank you so so much. Scooby was my first dog and we both thought that we would all grow old together, never thought she would have lymphoma when she was two and a half. I just don't have the words to describe how we fell.

Oh Kerry it is heartbreaking. We can only be here within this section if you want to post, it won't take away your pain but it could help to share your grief with other Dog lovers who will share the pain of loss with you. Nothing will change what you feel right now. We are here for you.

Such kind words Rocky. I did not imagine people could be so kind on her, it is very comforting. Scooby was my first dog and we have no children and we loved her like the daughter we could never have. Never thought you could love a dog till we had her. Our lives have have just been torn apart. Sorry for the ramblings.

Losing a loved pet at any time is hard, but losing one so young is cruel and heartbreaking. I am sure you will have done everything possible for your loved pet, so hang on to your memories. Animal lovers on CT will be sharing a thought for you today, we have all been there.

Thank you so much. It is so heart breaking. She was my first dog and loved her so so much.

Feeling for you Kerry - it's bad enough losing them at a good age - but so young is really sad.

Thank you so much. She was only two and a half when the cancer started. We are so lost and feels like our world has fallen apart

Sorry to hear that, KW. You did all you could.

Thank you so much. I know we did the best for her but it just wasn't enough. We were always told when we were young that if you have your health and happiness you have everything. Over the years it has become more and more true.
