In January we had to have our lovely dog Poppy put to sleep. She was seventeen and it was the right thing to do. Every dog lover will know just what an awful time it was. Poppy was the reason we bought the caravan and she was with us on every holiday. A friend of mine once asked  if Poppy enjoyed the caravan. She loved it. In April we went away in the caravan for the first time without her, very difficult. It was to a place we had been several times before and it just reminded us of the times she had been with us. When we were away a couple of weeks ago it was easier but she is still  missed so very much. I just want to say to all you dog owners make the most of the time you have with them and give them a big cuddle from me.

Not a dog owner but fully understand what you mean and hope that it gets better as you go along.

Hi JoJo9

Totally appreciate and feel for your loss, I know when we lose our Lab Tilly there will be a huge great chunk missing from our lives.

RIP Poppy until you meet again

Hi JoJo9

We had our lovely dog Saffie put to sleep just before Christmas due to cancer bless her.. miss her so much. We have been away a few times this year but could not bring myself to book anywhere that we'd been with Saffie. Next week we are booked into one of her favourite sites !! daft I know but it was..I'm already feeling upset just thinking about the good times we had with her...ah happy days.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. Chris, so pleased you have a rescue dog now, Zach looks lovely. I'm sure he'll enjoy the caravan trips. We are still undecided about whether we should get another dog, still a bit too soon for any decision. But if we do we will certainly look at rehoming a recue dog just like our lovely Poppy was.
