Has anyone recently travelled this Ferry route with their dog? Our ony experience of kennels for pets was on DFDS Newcastle to Amsterdam - never again. They were so bad we came back Dover Calais even though we had booked a return trip. Concerns expressed seemed to fall on deaf ears. I am wondering if this route is a better option for us, but would only use it if conditions for pets wre suitable.

My opinion 'PR' is there is only one route for the wellness of your dog and that is the Chunnel. We travel from Hull to Folkestone opposed to using the ferry port which is 10 miles away purely because of our dog.

Of course its my opinion and your choice Smile Sorry I can't help on the ferries.

Yes we also used the Euro Tunnel this summer - easy peezy. However it is a long journey from Washington where we live and I was just looking at alternatives.

My dogs travel very well in the caravan on ferry crossings.  I wouldn't put them in a ships kennel they were upset enough in a day care one.  But you know your dog.  The longest I have done is Plymouth Roscoff.
