Pet passports full?

Hello one and all. Their Ladyship's passports were new 3 years ago and we've taken them abroad 5 times, so although the rest of the passport has plenty of room left the section where the vet certifies them as ok to travel back to the UK is now full (only having 5 spaces!). It seems a bit excessive (and expensive) to have to get replacements, can we use another section with some alterations or use a slip of paper as an insert with the details on? Any ideas much appreciated.

Wondered if you had found the answer to this problem?  We are taking our 2 away for the first time this year - 3 times.  I noticed that there is plenty of space (28 lines I think) for the tapeworm treatment but only 7 lines for the examination.  This doesn't make sense.

Have you spoken to your vet about it   When we got the passport for Lizzie in 2014, the thing that cost the money was the Rabies injection.  If the injection is still in date, I would have thought that the details could be transferred to a new passport, which itself may not cost that much.

I have since found out that the 'examination' part is not compulsory, so no need to get vet to fill it in.

Hi, I did speak to our vet who suggested we get the foreign vet to put the information required somewhere else in the passport maybe in a part that won't be used for anything else which is what we'll do.

I also emailed Euro Tunnel who replied saying that they do not require the confirmation of fitness to travel section of the passport to be completed for the animal to travel with them. However they did say that this is just Euro Tunnel, other carriers might need it filling in so best to be aware of this if you're going on a ferry. Hope this helps, come back to me if you need any more info.

Happy travels!
