Intense training for my pooches!

Hi all, as you may know i am getting a border terrier in a few weeks. I am determined to get my other 2 pooches a bit better behaved, before the new one comes.

I have been reading a book called 'The Dog Listener' by Jan Fennel. Its really amazing. Jan has studied how wolves behave and says its all about the owner being the Alpha leader of the pack. My 2 go crazy when i come in the door, and apparently this is because they think they are the pack leaders. So now, i have to completely ignore them. When they have settled, give 5 minutes, then call them for fuss. Have only been doing this for 2 days, and am seeing excellent results. Even Roxy has calmed down with her barking!
