Feeling happy

About a month ago I wrote that after losing our much loved  Poppy we had made the decision not to have another dog. That changed last weekend when we  decided we were both so miserable that we just had to have another one. We were very fortunate to get a Border Collie puppy from a lovely farmer in Cumbria.Bramble has settled in well and everything revolves around him. He is such a bonny little thing with a lovely personality. He will have a fantastic life with us, never going into kennels but enjoying lots of trips away in the caravan. If he gives us half as much pleasure as Poppy did then we will be very fortunate. Poppy is still a big miss but life is just looking so much brighter now with Bramble.

We got our younger one from them in 2014. They are totally devoted to the breed and have dogs of all ages looking for a forever home.

...Yes thanks ,we are hoping to see them in new year ,when we spoke, most they had at the time were very much in need of a lot of "work" to help them socialise ,

there is another nearer us called  "The border collie spot""that we are in contact wth,

Thank you so much for your good wishes. Bramble has now been with us for 10 days. He has had his first injection and is due his second on the 30th. We are looking forward to  long walks in the countryside and on the beach. Bramble will come, sit and lie down so, fingers crossed, he should be easy to train. Our house feels like a home again, all you dog lovers will know exactly what I mean.

Lovely news Jojo - and yes - we do know what you mean.  The only time our adorable Cockapoo, Meg, is not in the house with us, is when she goes to the groomers (every six weeks!).  Being a princess, she is there for almost four hours, being pampered and spoilt - and she loves it.  But the house is EMPTY whilst she's away and I hate it - and keep looking at the clock, counting the minutres to when I can go an pick her up. Although this is my first dog and Meg is only three, she is so much part of the family, that I can't imagine life without her.
