This is for anyone intending to take a dog on a Cornish beach in the near future.  You may have seen on the news that a peculiar white, lumpy substance has been washed up on our beaches.  One dog has sadly died from ingesting the substance and a couple of others are ill.  It seems to be mainly the Mount's Bay area that is affected with Long Rock and Praa Sands getting special mention.  Vets are recommending that dogs should be kept on leads so you can keep them away from this substance.  Personally, I'd recommend keeping dogs off beaches to make sure they don't get at the stuff!
