dogs eating new mown grass

just to inform anyone who are unaware that dogs or indeed most animals who eat new mown grass can end up very poorly as mine did we had to take him to vets and he had to stay in the hospital for 2days on a drip then have medicine for 3weeks . apparently the grass ferments in the tummy and causes colic vomiting and very loose poo, dogs can eat uncut grass with no effect , charcoal biscuits are good to give if your dog has eaten grass it absorbs some of the gas caused by the fermentation so i was told .
